Exploring Italy’s Amalfi Coast: Lemon-Themed Villages, Stunning Views, and Amazing Food

Are you looking for a dreamy getaway this Spring Break? Look no further than the

Amalfi Coast in Italy! After several underwhelming Spring Break trips, I decided to

venture to Italy’s famous coastline, known for its stunning views and lemon-themed everything.

Getting There: Naples and Beyond

Our journey started in Naples, where we flew into before taking a train into Beatrice. While there are a few different ways to get to the coast, we found that taking the train was the cheapest and most convenient option. Upon arrival, the first sight of the ocean was a moment that filled me with happiness.

Vietri Sul Mare

One of the first towns we encountered was Vietri Sul Mare, a quaint and charming place that we didn't get to explore much since we took the bus to our next destination. There are a few modes of transportation to choose from, such as driving, taking a Vespa, or hopping on the bus. We opted for the bus route, and the Unico app proved to be a handy tool for getting tickets and making the trip as easy as possible. Just be mindful of motion sickness if you're taking the bus, as the main road can be very winding.

Praiano: The Perfect Stay

We decided to stay in Praiano, a smaller town located 15 minutes from Positano by bus and 30 minutes from Amalfi. Our hotel, Locanda degli Dei, was the perfect choice, with stunning views and a charming, cottagey vibe that I absolutely loved. There were lemons everywhere, adding to the beachy, cool atmosphere.

Foodie’s Delight

The food in Italy is a must-try, and the Amalfi Coast is no exception. From pasta to pizza, there’s an abundance of delicious food to try. In Praiano, we ate at Che Bonta several times for its convenience, and I highly recommend trying lemon ravioli and seafood pasta. Also, note that many restaurants close from around 12 to 3 pm and reopen in the evening.

Positano: My Favorite City

Out of all the cities we visited, Positano was my favorite. The weather was perfect, and such a stunning day! It was a great place to walk around, and the beach was beautiful. You’ll find plenty of gelato and sorbet, but I couldn’t try it as I gave it up for Lent. However, my friends who did try it raved about how great it was!

Sorrento: Shopping and More

Our second day led us to Sorrento, a beautiful place that was a bit underwhelming for us. It's more suited for those who enjoy shopping or have their own car. Nevertheless, it was still breathtaking to see.

In Conclusion

Consider visiting Italy's Amalfi Coast for your Spring Break vacation. It's sure to be a wonderful holiday you'll never forget, with beautiful lemon-themed towns, stunning scenery, and delicious food! So, during spring break, get your plane tickets to Italy, pack your bags, and embark on an unforgettable vacation. Wishing you a happy journey!
